Ukraine: Prices for feed barley continue rising
High demand and decrease of offers for feed barley due to domestic stocks exhaustion cause price increasing on Ukrainian market, according to AgriMarket, April 13.
According to APK-Inform export-oriented companies continue rising purchasing prices in conditions of high competition. Depending on accumulated grain stocks and terms of fulfillment of engagements, exporters announce feed barley purchasing prices within the range of 800 - 1020 UAH/t (CPT-port). Purchasing prices of millers are at 770 - 850 UAH/t.
At the same time, prices for Ukrainian feed maize remain stable now. Prices in offers on purchase of maize are at 900 - 970 UAH/t (CPT-port).
Domestic consumers buy grain at 850 - 970 UAH/t, taking into account delivery to the enterprise.
"APK-Inform" reference: according to customs data barley export totaled from 3,8 mln tonnes from Ukraine from the beginning of the current marketing year (July 2006-March 2007). At that on March 594.000 tonnes of wheat were exported from the country.
"APK-Inform" estimates barley export at 4.8 mln tonnes in the current season.
